Kurtulmuş: The International System Has Failed to Take Any Effective Steps to Stop the Genocide in Gaza

Turkish Parliament Speaker Prof. Dr. Numan Kurtulmuş stated that Gaza does not belong to anyone, but rather, it and the rest of the Palestinian territories are the homeland of the Palestinians.

In a speech during the meeting of the Parliaments Supporting Palestine Group in Istanbul, Kurtulmuş said, "While we support the Palestinian cause, we are also intensifying our efforts to establish a new and just world order."

He explained that Turkey will continue its diplomatic relations at the highest levels to ensure that those countries recognize Palestine, stressing that Gaza does not belong to anyone and that it and the rest of the Palestinian territories "are the homeland of the Palestinians, watered with the blood of martyrs."

Kurtulmuş pointed out that the Middle East region is a gateway to global peace, and its key is peace, reassurance, and stability in Palestine. He expressed his regret that the international system has failed to take any effective steps in the face of the genocide in Gaza.

He praised the human conscience that has taken to the streets and squares around the world to support the Palestinian people, calling on some countries that recognize the State of Palestine but do not provide sufficient support to continue their efforts to offer the necessary support.
