The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine Condemns the Israeli Aggression on Doha and Affirms it is a Serious Violation of Sovereignty and International Law

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine strongly condemns the Israeli bombing that targeted the Qatari capital, Doha, in an unprecedented act of aggression against a sovereign state and a recognized mediator in international efforts to stop the war on Gaza.

This attack constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, as well as a grave breach of all diplomatic and humanitarian norms, as it deliberately targeted a negotiating delegation working to end the aggression and find peaceful solutions.

The League affirms that this incident once again proves that the Israeli occupation behaves as a rogue state above international law, relying on the political and military immunity granted to it by the United States.

The League sees this aggression as inseparable from the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Rather, it is a new chapter in the occupation's policy aimed at thwarting any peace initiative and expanding the circle of aggression to include regional and international parties— constituting a direct threat to peace and security in the region and the world.

In declaring its full solidarity with the State of Qatar, both leadership and people, the League:

- Affirms that targeting Doha is an attack on all international mediation efforts and a rejection of peace and political solutions.

- Calls on the international community and national parliaments to clearly condemn this aggression, to take urgent action to hold the occupation accountable, and to end the policy of impunity.

- Demands that the UN Security Council and the United Nations fulfill their responsibilities and take practical, deterrent steps to end the occupation’s persistent violations of international law and the sovereignty of states.

Silence over this crime will only open the door for the occupation to repeat it against other states and peoples, threatening the stability of the entire international system. We affirm that accountability and justice are the only means to deter the occupation and stop its continuous crimes against the Palestinian people and the wider region.
