Delegation from the League Visits "ILKE" Foundation to Strengthen Research and Parliamentary Cooperation

A delegation from the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds and Palestine visited the ILKE Foundation for Science, Culture, and Research. the visit is part of the League's ongoing efforts to expand partnerships with think tanks and integrate research work with parliamentary diplomacy in support of the Palestinian cause.

The delegation included the League’s Secretary-General, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, and the Head of the Media Department, Eng. Omar Boutaleb. They were received by the Chairman of the Board of ILKE, Attorney Ahmet Sait Öner.

During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to develop joint cooperation, aiming to leverage research and knowledge capabilities to serve international parliamentary movements—particularly regarding support for the Palestinian cause and strengthening its presence in decision-making circles.

The two sides also discussed mechanisms to transform scientific research and academic studies into effective policy papers. These papers would serve as a resource for parliamentarians to support their positions and actions within regional and international forums, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the political and legal discourse supporting Palestinian rights.

The meeting further reviewed the League’s most prominent recent activities and initiatives alongside the projects of the ILKE Foundation. Both parties emphasized the importance of building sustainable communication channels and developing institutional and media discourse tools to keep pace with current challenges.

At the conclusion of the visit, both sides stressed the importance of institutionalizing their cooperation and working toward launching joint initiatives and programs. These efforts aim to increase the efficiency of specialized work and bolster international efforts dedicated to supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause.
