Australian Senator Calls on Her Country to Cut Ties with the Occupation and Expel the Ambassador

Australian Senator Mehreen Faruqi said that remaining silent in the face of the genocide in the Gaza Strip being committed by the Israeli occupation is complicity in it.

Faruqi added, in a video posted on her social media accounts, "I don’t know how Penny Wong [Foreign Minister] and Anthony Albanese [Prime Minister] can sleep at night. They can stop bilateral arms trade with Israel, expel the Israeli ambassador, and impose a travel ban."

She added that "her country can impose economic sanctions and commit to arresting war criminals, but they are not doing so. We will not stop fighting for Palestine."
