A Tunisian MP announces a symbolic hunger strike in solidarity with Gaza

Tunisian MP Mohamed Ali announced, on Thursday, his symbolic hunger strike aboard the ship "Florida Anas Al-Sharif" in solidarity with the people of Gaza in the face of the ongoing siege and aggression.

MP Mohamed Ali is participating in the Maghreb Steadfastness Fleet to break the siege on Gaza, along with a number of activists and participants from Tunisia, as well as supporters from various Arab and European nationalities, in a humanitarian message expressing the unity of the popular stance rejecting the ongoing crime against over two million Palestinians in the sector.

It is worth noting that the symbolic hunger strike is a humanitarian initiative launched by activists from more than 100 countries around the world on September 16 and 23 of this year, and is one of the largest popular solidarity movements since the beginning of the aggression on the sector, where participants show their solidarity with the people of Gaza facing famine, forced displacement under bombardment and siege.

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine emphasizes that these parliamentary and popular solidarity initiatives send a clear message to the international community about the urgent need to end the unjust siege imposed on Gaza and to stop the Israeli aggression that contradicts the most basic international and humanitarian laws.
