The League receives a delegation from the Human Rights Committee of the Justice and Development Party and discusses enhancing mutual cooperation

The League of Parliamentarians for al-Quds and Palestine received a delegation from the Human Rights Committee of the Turkish Justice and Development Party at their headquarters in Istanbul, led by the Deputy Chairman of the party in Istanbul and the head of the committee, lawyer Muammer Birdal, and Dr. Fatih Tuna, Deputy Head of Foreign Relations in the party, and a number of committee members and lawyers.
The delegation was welcomed by the head of the League, Mr. Hamid bin Abdullah Al-Ahmar, the Secretary-General of the League, Dr. Mohammad Makram Balawi, and the advisors of the League, Mr. Bashir Djarallah and Mr. Bashar Shalabi.

Mr. Hamid Al-Ahmar welcomed the delegation, presenting the vision, goals, and activities of the League, praising Turkey's role during the recent genocide war on Gaza, emphasizing that the Palestinian issue is a humanitarian cause that unites peoples regardless of their religions and races, as evidenced by the broad global support for the Palestinian people.

On his part, lawyer Muammer Birdal emphasized that the Human Rights Committee of the Justice and Development Party gives special importance to supporting oppressed peoples, foremost among them the Palestinian people and their just cause.

The two sides agreed to enhance mutual cooperation and organize regular meetings between the League and the Human Rights Committee, especially in the fields of human rights and politics, to serve the Palestinian cause, and to develop cooperation in the areas of women and youth between the two sides.
